Scope of Works

  • Major roadworks and modifications to existing civil infrastructure.
  • Construction of new roadways, aprons, and taxiways.
  • Bulk earthworks across the project site.
  • Construction of concrete apron parking bays.
  • Application of line marking across roads, aprons, and taxiways.
  • Installation of security fencing.
  • Stormwater drainage works, including fuel interceptor pits and grated channel drains.
  • Landscaping of designated areas.
  • Construction of a new gatehouse building, including full internal fit-out and fixtures.
  • Installation of essential services, including:
    • Potable water and sewer systems
    • High voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) electrical networks
    • New electrical substations
    • Communications infrastructure
    • Street lighting, airfield lighting, and apron floodlighting

Project Features

  • Bulk earthworks comprising the importation and placement of approximately 150,000 m³ of fill.
  • Construction of over 100,000 m² of pavement - including roadways, aprons, and taxiways - using more than 100,000 tonnes of airport-specification road base.
  • Placement of 2,250 m² of Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) apron.
  • Installation of over 3,000 m of stormwater drainage pipework.
  • Installation of 600 m of grated channel drains.
  • Construction of more than 100 drainage pits.
  • In-situ formation and pouring of fuel interceptor pits.
  • Installation of 260 m of deep sewer and associated pits.
  • Installation of 780 m of water mains, including water meters, RPZs, and isolation valves.
  • Installation of over 10,000 m of conduits for electrical and communications services.
  • Completion of a value engineering process delivering substantial cost savings to the client.
  • Procurement and use of a road base paver and pugmill to enhance pavement quality and improve construction productivity.
